General features

WYSIWYG Editors – The Incendia Media CMS has fullly extensible WYSIWYG content editors for all content-types such as Blogs, Articles, Products, Stories or any custom content-types we've configured for you. This even includes automatic image scaling, upload and easy to use image editing features.

Modules – There are many modules which provide functionality that extend Incendia CMS core (modules such as audio/video, podcasting, news aggregators, etc)

Personalization - A robust personalization environment is at the core of Incendia CMS. Both the content and the presentation can be individualized based on user-defined preferences.

Role based permission system - Site administrators don't have to tediously setup permissions for each user. Instead, they assign permissions to roles and then group like users into a role group.

Searching - All content in Incendia CMS is fully indexed and searchable at all times if you take advantage of the built in search module.

Automatic Generation of Friendly URLs – Every Incendia CMS uses automatic path and URL creation to make URLs that are both user and search engine friendly. So instead of having a URL like

http://www.yoursite.com?prodcutid=89e332asaa&sessid=fewwd332d0fd9a23j5

you can have

http://www.yoursite.com/products/black-t-shirt

All of this is done for you automatically using automatic path and url generation.

User management

User authentication - Users can register and authenticate locally or using an external authentication source like OpenID, Blogger, LiveJournal or another Incendia CMS website.

Content management

Templating - Incenia CMS's theme system separates content from presentation allowing you to control the look and feel of your Incendia CMS site. Templates are created from standard HTML and PHP coding meaning that you don't have to learn a proprietary templating language.

Threaded comments - Incendia CMS provides a powerful threaded comment model for enabling discussion on published content. Comments are hierarchical as in a newsgroup or forum.

Version control - Incendia CMS's version control system tracks the details of content updates including who changed it, what was changed, the date and time of changes made to your content and more. Version control features provide an option to keep a comment log and enables you to roll-back content to an earlier version.

Polls - Incendia CMS comes with a poll module which enables admins and/or users to create polls and show them on various pages.

Custom Content Types – The sky is the limit. Incendia can easily create custom content types featuring custom teasers, scalable images, file fields, audio, video or almost anything you can imagine. And all of that content can be exposed via custom views and custom APIs that enable the content to be viewed in other mediums such as Flash, Flex, Java, Mobile and more.

Blogging, Content Syndication, Pyromarketing

Blogger API support - The Blogger API allows your Incendia CMS site to be updated by many different tools. This includes non-web browser based tools that provide a richer editing environment.

Content syndication – Incendia's platform exports your site's content in RDF/RSS format for others to gather. This lets anyone with a feed reader to stay up to date on your site's content from anywhere on the Internet including their desktop.

Social Media, Sharing and Content Subscriptions - All content created in the CMS is “shareable” over various social media and social bookmarking platforms such as Facebook, Digg, Reddit and MySpace. In addition, users can subscribe to various types of content to get notified when content is updated. These tools also enable “viral content distribution” to occur via social bookmarking, “share with friend” features and invites.

Platform

Apache or IIS, Unix / Linux / BSD / Solaris / Windows / Mac OS X support - Incendia CMS was designed from the start to be multi-platform capable. Not only can you use it with either Apache or Microsoft IIS but we also have IM CMS running on Linux, BSD, Solaris, Windows, and Mac OS X platforms.

However, you can benefit from the scalable hosting infrastructure used on Incendia's own sites which feature hardened CentOS Operating Systems and scalable, replicated MySQL database servers.

Multi-language - Incendia CMS is designed to meet the requirements of an international audience and provides a full framework to create a multi-lingual website, blog, content management system or community application. All text can be translated using a graphical user interface, by importing existing translations, or by integrating with other translation tools such as the GNU gettext.

Administration and analysis

Analysis, Tracking and Statistics - Incendia CMS can print browser-based reports with information about referrals, content popularity and how visitors navigate your site.

Logging and Reporting - All important activities and system events are captured in an event log to be reviewed by an administrator at a later time.

Web based administration - Incendia CMS can be administered entirely using a web browser, making it possible to access it from around the world and requires no additional software to be installed on your computer.

Community features

Social Networking – The Incendia platform is able to create feature rich social networking sites with buddylists, inter user private messaging, extensible user profiles, user blogs, user video, pictures, guest books and a whole lot more.

Discussion forums - Full discussion forum features are built into Incendia CMS to create lively, dynamic community sites.

Content level interaction - Every content piece can become a center point for a discussion or comment thread. Users are able to rate and discuss content in place and site administrators can moderate content discussion and comments or disable this feature completely.
